Liberals view on asylum seekers

Tony Abbott demonstrates immediately (in the first question) that he hasn't really thought about the issue and only wants to try to win the popular vote. His statement that Australia's population growth is a function of the number of children families choose to have demonstrates that the liberal party has put little thought into the optimum growth strategy for Australia.
He goes on to say that immigration levels, as forecast in the intergenerational report, are not sustainable because there is already too much traffic in major cities... perhaps investing in public transport and bicycle lanes would allieviate this problem.
